ALAA-sponsored session proposals may be related to any period, theme, or aspect of Latin American Art. Proposals may be focused on one particular time period, transcend chronological boundaries, or explore how visual culture from one era is influenced by, or impacts that made during other time periods.

If you have a topic or theme that you would like to propose, please write a description (approximately one page) describing the topics and issues that your session will address. Co-chaired session proposals are welcome; junior and senior scholars are encouraged to collaborate in the planning of ALAA-sponsored sessions. Submissions, which should also include a 300-word CV for each chair, should be sent to the ALAA executive committee members.

The deadline for consideration for ALAA’s sponsored session is Monday, August 24.
